Status statement: Placed Media Ltd is a software, marketing and workflow technology company for commercial finance brokers, introducers, lenders and professional partners. It is not a lender, not a credit broker and not FCA authorised. Where a campaign, listing or workflow involves finance enquiries, the relevant lender, broker or authorised firm remains responsible for its own regulated activities, customer communications and approvals.

Data we may collect

Business contact details, role, company and enquiry details submitted through our website or by email/phone.
Campaign briefs, product information, audience criteria, compliance preferences and approval records provided by lenders, brokers, introducers or partners.
Professional-user workflow, listing, enquiry and routing data generated through approved campaigns or platform workflows, where Placed is instructed to assist with software, marketing or operational handling.
Website usage data such as page visits, device/browser details, timestamps and security logs.
Correspondence, complaints, audit records and professional-adviser communications.

How we use personal data

To respond to enquiries and provide information about our services.
To prepare, manage and evidence software access, lender listings, marketing campaigns, workflow activity and campaign approvals.
To support professional-user workflows and, where agreed, route enquiries or case information to the correct lender, broker, authorised firm or other nominated recipient.
To operate the website, maintain security and prevent misuse.
To keep records needed for audit, complaint handling, legal claims, contractual obligations and data-protection compliance.

Lawful basis

We normally process business contact data on the basis of legitimate interests and pre-contractual steps. Where we process campaign lead data, the lawful basis and controller/processor roles must be agreed in the relevant campaign schedule, data-processing terms or client instructions before launch.

Where data comes from

Data may be provided directly by you, by a lender/client, by an introducer or partner, through our website or through approved advertising/campaign platforms. If data is supplied by a third party, that party is responsible for ensuring it has a lawful basis to share it with us.

Sharing data

We do not sell personal data. We may share data with lenders, nominated brokers or authorised firms, technology providers, advertising platforms, professional advisers, compliance reviewers and regulators/law-enforcement bodies where necessary and lawful.

International transfers

Some technology providers may process data outside the UK. Where this occurs, we expect appropriate safeguards to be in place, such as adequacy regulations, standard contractual clauses or equivalent protections.

Retention

Business enquiries are retained only for as long as needed for follow-up, audit and legal purposes. Campaign approval records and routing evidence may be retained longer where needed to evidence instructions, approvals, consent, suppression and complaint handling. Retention periods are reviewed periodically and data is deleted or anonymised when no longer required.
